Review Policy:

Thank you for your interest in having your book reviewed by the Folded Pages Distillery. Please read the following before sending us your request.

We are happy to review hard copies, pdfs, or ebooks. We prefer to review books that have been published within the past year and are willing to consider reading self-published books or books from independent publishers as well. We mostly review Young Adult and Adult books, but we welcome Middle Grade too.

Genres that The Folded Pages Distillery will not review:
  • Children's (ages 0-8)
  • Cooking/Health
  • Parenting
  • Self-help
  • Erotica/Heavy Romance
  • Religious Fiction/Non-fiction (If we review these books then we prefer to pick them ourselves and have a connection to the content involved. This insures that we know how to review the work properly and honestly.)

Besides considering your genre we request that you send us a small blurb about your book, to see if the content is immediately interesting. We are happy to read very short bios about you as well (especially if you would like Hikari to interview you).

Simply send your pitch to the email on top of the page and please specify if you prefer one reviewer over another (Hikari Loftus, Doni Faber, or Brittney Jenson). Depending on our schedules and how many book reviews we are already working on, we will do our best to get your review done within 3 weeks of receiving the request, if we do decide to read your book. If it ends up taking longer than 3 weeks we will contact you with the circumstances and a new working deadline.
